And I’m not afraid or ashamed to call myself one. Reply This is good. For reasons not worth going into here but not unlike many persons’ reasons, for a long time I had difficulty identifying myself as an artist. Add to that the perversion of American culture with its message that you’re not something unless it’s how you make your living. I prefer the Nietzschean stance.
