Reply Tetman Callis says: September 23, 2011 at 5:00 am That’s understandable. People smile at the oddest times. They may have felt it was the ending of a long period of torment for themselves. Mark MacPhail was a good man. Obviously somebody killed him, but I don’t think it was Troy Davis. I don’t think Troy Davis ever killed anyone. Whatever else this case is about, it’s also about two men who were in the wrong place at the wrong time. A common enough human tragedy. May God have mercy on our souls.
